V Day becoming We Day

Feeling connected is the key to any relationship. Once a connection develops, the relationship is transformed into a higher plane and it is insulated from the day-to-day ups and downs. We need to have absolute trust.

We might have seen many sufferings in our past, which makes us skeptical about everything. This is what is called 'Samskaras' i.e, memories which wake up emotions in us, sometimes positive, but mostly negative, and take us away from the present. We tend to distrust everything to begin with, until a trust develops. No person is perfect and if all words and actions are scanned at a microscopic level to find irregularities, there are not many reasons for any relationship to survive. Though we give our fullest to the relationship, until there is a feeling of connectedness and absolute trust, the relationship will ride up and down along with the world, giving immense pain and sufferings.

Once there is a connection, there is a change which follows. Change is a divine energy which has to be respected and trusted. Ordinary people have been transformed into enlightened masters because they could feel connected with the divine. When we resist change, there will be problems. Every relationship needs to contiuously evolve and flow like a river, and not be stagnant like a pond which ultimately decays. Keeping the mind in the present is different from saying "now or never". It is true for thoughts and actions but not for relationships. A relationship is a living entity, it has to grow and mature. Just as it takes time for a seed to develop into a tree, it takes time for a relationship to grow. We have to be a patient and tolerant and most importantly, not lose trust, until it can take care of itself. We will face many hurdles in the way, but it is exactly these hurdles that make the relationship stronger, when we understand things better. Once we have the connection and the trust in the change that follows, we can see the beautiful flowering of the relationship.
